Jonsson had two real solid seasons in the NHL, and I see no reason why he can't revert back to that playing ability, even if it's in the AHL or Europe.
He was a solid citizen before the melt down. Good shot blocker, good skater, excellent passer, hard worker. He was unlike Mike Wilson in the sense that I hated to see him struggling.
