" When I played for the Bruins (Yes, I played there too) we had a practice in Phoenix. To set the tone for this particular practice please note that at the time we had yet to win a game. I think we were 0-8ish...or something like that. Pat Burns was the coach. On a good day he's an intimidating man. As you can imagine Burnsy is not a happy camper. We are doing a neutral zone regroup drill....the play is D to D to Winger and away we go. Sooooo, Mattias Timander is the 1st D. The puck comes to him and he's supposed to pass to his D partner. Whistle blows....here we go. Puck to Timander he passes to his partner....hits him in the shin pads.....Whistle "Do it again!!"....Timander to partner...fires it over his stick...Whistle "Do it again!!"...Timander to partner...passes behind partner...Whistle "Do it again!!"....now things are starting to get UNCOMFORTABLE...all the guys are praying Matty can hit his partner on the tape, SOON! Everytime he misses a pass we get one step closer to a team BAG SKATE!! ....Timander to partner....puck blows up and Matty misses it.....Whistle "do it again" Burnsy says, quietly now....Oh boy, this isn't good.....Timander to partner......off his shin pads!!!!!! Whistle..."Matty, Get the %$&@ off the ice!!" So, off Matty goes. Practice continues for another 30-40 minutes. After the practice I go up to Matty and put my arm around him and tell him "Don't worry about it buddy"....Matty lifts his head up, looks at me with an emabarassed/frustrated/angry look and says "I was a healthy scratch in Practice!!" AWESOME!!! "

Apologies for writing in English, I'm in the States and my Swedish is basically nonexistent.
Anyway...I've been following Mo's career since his college days. This is the first season I've been overly disappointed in him and this signing is very surprising to me.
Mike used to be excellent in the shootout, or any one-on-one situation. I loved watching shootouts with him.
It always seemed to me that he could lose his concentration quickly and one soft goal destroyed the rest of the game. Generally though, if he could keep it together for the first period, he'd be great the rest of the game.
He does like to wander around. Again, it seems to be a concentration thing. Not really super athletic, but he uses his height to his advantage. (He's really, really thin though - or always used to be). Yet I've seen him wander and make it back to net for the amazing save.
There was one time in Greenville where he was at the blue line, with his mask up, just watching the game. The play got to the red line, he just stood there. The play got even closer - he glided back to the net, dropped his mask on his face and made the best save of the game.
He has a really relaxed nature in net. Sometimes it really looks like he's not paying attention, but he's more aware than people realize. He won't be flashy and he's usually not physical.
He doesn't overplay the puck, but does sometimes make bad passes that lead to dangerous plays.
He can come up really big when he needs to. It's all mental with him.
If he's happy and in a good mood, things will go really well.
He denies it, but you will catch him singing and having fun during breaks in the game. He's fun to watch when he starts doing things like that."
